Hey there!

Welcome to the part where you can get to know me a little bit more. My names is Caitlin Arizmendy, I am a freelance professional hair, makeup and overall artist. Since I was a little kid I’ve had a passion for art and took every opportunity to be creative. The earliest memory I have of my creativity blossoming would be as a child drawing . Id draw in a marble notebook, mostly clothing, I swore I was going to be a fashion designer! With my fashion sense? No, I don’t think so. Then as I grew up I started drawing cartoons, wanting to make comics. My love for anime came around and I was infatuated with all the different forms of art in the Japanese culture. It wasn’t until junior year of high school that I was getting into girly things like makeup and I also start making claymations for my animation class. The tv show “Face/off” came out and I saw how someone could take there drawings into sculptures, and then their sculptures into the real life moving creatures using the power of makeup. BOOM! I new I had to try it. I started dabbling into theatrical and special effects makeup. Over the past 11 years I have worked on my artistry and learned many things along the way. I have learned to appreciate all aspects of makeup, from avant-garde and regular basic beauty to the horror and mystical looks. I enjoy to do it all. But it doesn’t stop there because I'm an artist to the core! I take pride in all of the skills and talents I have acquired of the years. Thats why i’m changing the way we see the letters HMUA. Im not just a Hair & MakeUp Artist . Im a Hair, Makeup, and overall Artist!
